The Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Transportation (Ceftru – Centro Interdisciplinar em Estudos em Transportes), located on the campus of the University of Brasília (UnB), is a Multidisciplinary Research Center in Science & Technology for Transportation. The Center was created in 1996 and although it is part of the University (UnB), it has an independent organizational structure.
Because of Ceftru’s expertise and high standards, it is active in many Brazilian states as well as internationally.
Since its inception, the Ceftru has been involved in:
Our Mission
Our mission is to foster, apply, manage and disseminate scientific and technological knowledge for public and private institutions, contributing to the improvement of the productive chain in the transportation sector.
Our Vision
Our vision is to be recognized both in Brazil and internationally as a leading Multidisciplinary Research Center in Science & Technology for Transportation.
Because of Ceftru’s expertise and high standards, it is active in many Brazilian states as well as internationally.
Since its inception, the Ceftru has been involved in:
- Fostering multidisciplinary research;
- Producing and disseminating knowledge by means of publishing books, papers and articles in periodicals and participating in Brazilian and international congresses;
- Training personnel;
- Carrying out projects for public and private organizations;
- Developing effective computer software for transportation which aims at guaranteeing efficiency;
